As Chelsea finally put three points on the board, we saw Lampard turn to youth in his starting XI, something Chelsea fans have been begging for in recent weeks.

Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, Enzo Fernandez, Conor Gallagher, Noni Madueke, Mykhalio Mudryk and Kai Havertz all started this game, making it seven 23 year-old or under players in the starting XI.

This extremely youthful Chelsea side set up in a 4-3-3 in order to record a first victory since Lampard taking over as interim manager. This was clearly needed as fans were becoming increasingly frustrated with the results and decisions being made in player choices etc.

In this game there was some solid performances, but the standouts were definitely Benoit Badiashile and Noni Madueke.

Benoit Badiashile returned to the starting XI after a sustained period on the bench, and had an impressive game scoring a goal, and commanding defensively winning his aerial duels. The 21 year-old french centre back was composed on the ball when playing out during build up play, and often looked to play progressive passes into midfield/forward areas, attempting 9 long balls and completing 6 of them.

Noni Madueke kept his spot after earning another start with his performance against Arsenal midweek. After scoring the only goal in the 3-1 loss to Arsenal, Noni kept his spot at RW for Chelsea and impressed there again using his speed and directness in attack. This gave Chelsea a different dynamic in attacking areas, as Madueke was asking questions of the Bournemouth defence all game long.

Noni completed 6 dribbles out of 9 attempted, had 2 shots on target and won 7/13 ground duels. His performances in his recent two starts is surely enough to see him lock down the starting RW spot for the remainder of this rather bleak season.
